Most of the children we help are orphans, one parent families, poor and needy children in the larger area of Tiruvannamalai. Our special attention is focused on the girls, because they have very limited opportunities for education and higher paid employment.

The Shanti Children Project directly supports 50 poor children aged between 5 to 20 years old. “SCP” helps them with school fees, exam fees, notebooks, tuition fees and school-uniforms. We also help more than 80 kids through our tuition centre with their studies and extra curricular activities.

The street children are very excited about the variety of activities, monthly and annual events including trips out every year to see new places and learn new things. The children are very keen to learn anything new, so they eagerly participate in all the different events with so much joy.
